July Recap: From Fashion Week to paying off New York
Hi guys, July has flown by just like the previous ones this year. Last month I was quite busy with visiting family and being at home, picking up my regular pace with blogging. Today I’m also giving you a little peak behind the scenes during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam.
So I hope you like this recap just as much as the previous one.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam
On the 16th of July I was asked to join Kevin towards the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam. It was such a big happening. We had our own private Mercedes-Benz Jeep with driver from the parking garage to the location of Fashion Week itself. So cool! And when we arrived, there were two lovely ladies waiting for us with umbrellas to walk with us. Just to make sure that we stayed dry, during our little strut over the red carpet to enter the building.
We went to see the show of ‘Amsterdam maakt er wat van!’. This show was build around a couple of designers instead of one. The creations below are from Britt Breider. Click here to watch the whole show.
Paid off New York
YES, we paid off the trip to New York that Kevin and I are going to take in September. Whoohoo! Now we’re broke… No, just kidding! Now we’ve got to discus what we really want to see and the things that aren’t that importent, if we’re not able to see them. This because we’ve got to much on our ‘to see’ list already and it’s still growing. Oops!
I’m ready for take off already!
Birthday’s and family visitations
The first birthday party we had this month was from Madelon (my niece and one of my closest friend), we had a nice family gathering with a couple of kids running around and a lovely BBQ as dinner. Just a perfect way to end our day and her party.
One week later we celebrated my father-in-laws 70th birthday. We had a nice afternoon and evening with my in-laws and a couple of their closest friends. We had a lovely time.
On the 22nd of July we had also a lovely family gather to celebrate not one but two birthdays! My aunt turned 50 and my nephew turned 15. For this special occasion they rented a lovely place nearby the water with a extended BBQ that was taken care off.
On the last Saturday of July we went to visit my sister-in-law and my brother-in-law. But first we went for a great hike into the woods of Katwijk. After that we went to their home for an amazing extended dinner. We had the most delicious piece of lamb we’ve ever ate (also from the BBQ) with a very healthy salad from couscous, paprika, sun-dried tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. For desert we had this amazing home made apple pie with cranberries (on the photo above).
I loved every part of it.
WHAT WAS YOUR HIGHLIGHT THIS MONTH?
