June Recap - Capital Monday

June: From the Dutch coast to the Caribbean beach

Hé you, thanks for dropping by! Today I’m back with my recap of the month… June. It’s been a very busy period and it felt like a half year has flown by. With all my vacations and outings, you can say that I had one of the greatest months this year for so far. While the Dutch summer keeps us waiting, I have a some sunny photo’s to cheer up your day a little bit. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I did writing it.

June Recap - Capital Monday

The beach of Scheveningen

In the first weekend Madelon and I went to the beach of Scheveningen. We spend our day relaxing at beach clubs, trolling across the boulevard and we also went shopping. The weather was a lot better that the weather forecasts predicted, we were so lucky that day. Unluckily we forgot to pack some sunscreen that day, so we had some bad sunburn on our legs at the end. Not a good example I know! We ended our perfect day with a lovely sushi dinner at Sumo.

The Belgian Ardennes

We spend 4 great days at the Belgian Ardennes with my family-in-law and we also celebrated the 35 years of marriage of my parents-in-law. This many years is almost a unique thing now a days, I think we all can make a example out of this. If you are thinking of visiting the Ardennes yourself, I’ve got some great tips for you! Take a look at my previous post about the must do’s around here.

Hair Fashion Night

On the 15th of June I was invited by Wendy to come to the Hair Fashion Night at the Novelli kappers in Utrecht. This event was hosted by her in collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnel and Novelli Kappers. At this special evening you could enjoy the latest hair trends, drinks, bites, goodie bags and a lot of fashion. I had an amazing time with fellow bloggers and friends, a perfect night our if you ask me. What do you think of my amazing hair do?

June Recap - Capital Monday

My last day at work / Goodbye lunch

After more that 6,5 years working as a Marketeer and Desktop Publisher, I said farewell to my first job and company I’ve ever worked for. To end this long time, I had a very nice farewell lunch with a few of my dearest colleagues. We went to the Bagels & Beans in Gouda for some lovely juices and bagels. They have spoiled me rotten with so many sweet gifts. Thanks you guys so much!

The reason I left?
I was offered a new job, more focused on what I really want to do. That’s that I would love to expand my online skills as a Marketeer and grow with my blog and social media channels. Within my new job all of these thing would be more prior in combination with DTP tasks on a daily basis. If you want to keep doing your job with pasion, you have to make some hard decisions from time to time. But I’m still glad I made this choice.

Our trip to Curaçao

In the last half of June, Daniël (my boyfriend) and I went on this amazing trip to Curaçao. One of the islands belonging to the Dutch Antilles. It was great to realize that we were in the Caribbean. I feel so grateful for this trip, it was an amazing adventure. We did a lot of cool stuff during our stay, but that’s something I’m going to keep for myself a little longer. There will be a travel journal coming up very soon. So stay tuned and I will show you the most amazing places and things to do.
