Joanne – Lady Gaga
From time to time I jump for joy, when good news reaches me. One of the things that made me very excited was the news that Lady Gaga was coming with a new album. This is her 5th studio album. So let me introduce to you… Joanne.
I feel like this album is very different then the last one. Nothing like you would expect from Gaga if you are familiar with her previous work from the Artpop album. I also think that this album would be more appreciated by a larger public. It’s a soft-rock album with a hippie and a cowgirl vibe.
On this album she collaborated with a diversity of other big artists like Florence Welch on the track Hey Girl. But also got help from Mark Ronson, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and Beck. Not the least artist to work with right?!
The titel song Joanne is about her deceased aunt (Joanne Germanotta), it’s a very beautiful and touching ballad. She – by the way – played the guitar herself on this song. The highlights of the album in my opinion are Diamond heart, Joanne, A-yo, Dancin’ in circles, Sinner’s prayer and Angel down.
“The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege.” Charles Kuralt
Every Lady Gaga fan should have this album and everyone else should give it a try. I know for sure you would love it!
